Woodbourne Solutions was founded in 1998, by John Fendrick, a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with 15 years of computer consulting experience. His vision was to create a total web and wireless solutions company, one that could provide its clients with a full range of services analyzing a client's business needs, creating a complete site (custom application, database, and user interface), testing it, hosting it, and making sure it's secure.
Woodbourne Solutions was conceived as an alternative to large, inflexible computer consulting companies. Woodbourne does not use a cookie-cutter approach, but rather develops custom solutions according to each client's own particular business need. Our managed staged deliverables and quick turn-around time ensures customers can see their websites come to life within a short period and keep project costs controlled at or below the proposal level. Woodbourne Solutions is famous for on-time, on-budget projects that has kept customers bringing new projects back over and over again.
Woodbourne Solutions grew out of the first office, a 19th century farmhouse in Maryland, called Woodbourne Farm which held the founding 10 employees. Today Woodbourne is located in the Century Building in Germantown, Maryland adjacent to the I-270 bio technology corridor. Woodbourne has seen growth every year since inception and now employs a staff of 19 experts. The staff combines to yield over 200 person years of internet and database experience with concentrations in application development technologies including Macromedia/Allaire ColdFusion, PaperThin CommonSpot, Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP), and JavaServer Pages (JSP) database technologies including Oracle, SQL Server, IBM Informix, Access graphic development tools and technologies including Photoshop, Flash, and Quark.
Woodbourne has become one of the premier providers of platform independent data driven solutions for the Metro Washington DC area and has provided solutions for companies in Canada and the United Kingdom as well. The world wide Woodbourne clients have applications running today that serve an estimated 5 million combined users.
