RoyaltyStat provides online royalty rates for licensing or valuing intangible property, broken down by industry SIC codes. They provide licensing agreements and a time-saving royalty tableau™, which contains information regarding licensor, licensee, product, royalty rate, duration, and territory covered. Analysts can preview summaries of the available documents prior to securely purchasing the entire document.
RoyaltyStat has several advantages over competitors. In addition to searching online and benefiting from the ”what you see is what you get” interface, the client can establish licensing arrangement comparability that satisfies regulatory compliance, including Treasury Regulations.
Customers can search for royalty rates by Keyword or by Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code. (A special dropdown in the Help section identifies the SIC codes). The search will produce the number of source documents available in the database and the dollar charge required in order to review, save, or print the source documents and the proprietary royalty tableau™.
Users will soon be able to download statistics into Excel, or view the statistics graphically on the fly: bar charts, scatter plots, and quartiles.
RoyaltyStat was built using Microsoft technologies, including Windows 2000 running Internet Information Server 5.0 and SQL Server 7.0, and is connected to the web with Allaire's Cold Fusion. |
